Connect an AI assistant

You can let ChatGPT, Claude or another AI assistant use the 1954 Act tools directly — looking up provisions of the Act, related case law and the reform proposals while you chat. Copy the address below, then follow the steps for the assistant you use.

ChatGPT

  1. Open ChatGPT Apps settings and turn on Developer mode (read the risk notice shown there). If it isn't available, ask a ChatGPT admin to enable it.
  2. Click the “Create app” button next to the back button.
  3. Give it a name — “1954 Act” — and paste the address above.
  4. Click “Create”.
  5. Enable the app from the chat composer, then ask ChatGPT to use it.

Claude

  1. Open the prefilled Claude connector form .
  2. Check the details and click “Add”.
  3. If the prefilled form doesn't open, go to Claude's Connectors page, choose “Add custom connector”, name it “1954 Act” and paste the address above.
  4. Enable the connector from the chat composer, then ask Claude to use it.

Claude Code

  1. Run this in a terminal:

  2. Start Claude Code and run /mcp to confirm it's connected, signing in if prompted.
  3. Ask Claude Code to use the 1954 Act tools.

Other AI assistants

  1. Open your assistant's MCP server or custom connector settings.
  2. Create a new remote MCP server connection.
  3. Name it “1954 Act” and paste the address above.
  4. Finish any sign-in or authorisation prompts.
  5. Enable the connection, then ask your assistant to use it.

Refreshing after we update the site

Assistants remember what this app could do when you first connected. After an update, refresh the connection so your assistant picks up the latest tools.

ChatGPT

  1. Open ChatGPT's app preferences and pick 1954 Act under “Enabled apps”.
  2. Next to “Information”, click “Refresh”.
  3. If the address has changed, paste the latest one from above.
  4. Start a new chat and ask ChatGPT to use the app.

Claude

  1. Open the Connectors page and select the 1954 Act connector.
  2. Refresh or update the connector's tools.
  3. If the address has changed, paste the latest one from above.
  4. Ask Claude to use the app.

Claude Code

  1. Start a new Claude Code session — it loads the latest tools when it connects.
  2. If the address has changed, run claude mcp remove 1954-act, then run the install command again.
  3. Ask Claude Code to use the app.

Other AI assistants

  1. Open your assistant's MCP server or connector settings.
  2. Select the connection you created for 1954 Act.
  3. Refresh the tool list, reload the server, or reconnect it.
  4. If the address has changed, paste the latest one from above.
  5. Start a new chat and ask your assistant to use the app.
